The Vicariate of Rundu
The territory includes the region of Kavango and Caprivi in North-East Namibia and parts of Otjikoto in the West and Otjozondjupa in the South. It has international boundaries of Angola, Zambia and Botswana. It covers an area of 140,046 with a total population of 292,900 of whom 107, 849 are Catholics (33.5%).

The Vicariate Health Board
The Vicariate Health Board is a coordinating and controlling body for the running of the health facilities managed by the Vicariate. These are the two District Hospitals of Nyangana and Andara and three Health Centress at Tondoro, Bunya and Shambyu and clinics attached to the hospitals.

The Vicariate School Board
This Board supervises the running of the Schools and Hostels belonging to the Vicariate. These are St. Boniface H.S.School at Shambyu St. Kisito H.S. School at Katima Mulilo, Primary Schools at Grootfontein and Katima Mulilo and 8 hostels at Andara, Bunya, Grootfontein, Katima Mulilo, Nyangana, Shambyu and Tondoro. The Vicariate also runs Kindergartens.

Catholic Aids Action
Catholic Aids Action is an organization set up by the Namibian Catholics Bishop's Conference to address the Aids pandemic in Namibia. It has its regional Offices in Rundu and Katima Mulilo in the Vicariate. They are carrying out programmes aimed at prevention of Aids, the care of those living with Aids and helping Aids Orphans.

Projects for which we need your assistance

1. Bursaries for our seminarians
We have 5 seminarians studying for the priesthood in the major seminary. The monthly expense of a seminarian is US$290 for each of 10 months a year; the total expenses for five seminarians per year then comes to US$ 14,500.
